CAN I MAKE SONG REQUESTS?

Absolutely! I play a range of different styles and can find or make arrangements of popular songs.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR PERFORMANCE FEE?

When booking for an event, you can expect me to arrive 15-30 minutes early on the day of the event. While I do charge a fee for attending additional formal rehearsals, all parts will be practiced beforehand in my own time.

LESSONS

WHAT AGES DO YOU TEACH?

My main focus is on students ages 2-18. However, I open lessons to students of all ages as I have availability.

WHAT IS THE BEST AGE FOR MY CHILD TO START LEARNING THE VIOLIN?

The age at which they show interest! Generally, I recommend starting around age 4-5, as this coincides with major changes in fine motor development. While it can be tricky to learn an instrument with shorter attention spans that come with young age and/or learning differences, I tailor my lessons accordingly to ensure every child has a chance to learn.

Also, I believe it is never too late to start learning. I offer special start-up packages for teens and adults, tailored towards the pieces you wish to play on the instrument.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE LESSON?

In addition to learning how to play the instrument, weekly lessons include music theory instruction. Beginner lesson materials (sheet music and theory worksheets) are covered in the cost.

HOW LONG DO LESSONS LAST?

I offer traditional private lessons as well as paired lessons in 30 and 45 minute sessions.
